Wrong. Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway granted the $2B loan to Seritage Growth Properties, a real estate investment firm who leases real estate to Sears and Kmart. Buffett personally owns 5.7% of Seritage. The loan was NOT to Sears Holdings. This is all spelled out in the article you referenced.
