Most company's big or small when they are doing a merger or acquisition will announce they have a Letter of Intent (LOI) or a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and at that time will say they are doing their due diligence which takes 60 to 90 days...and until the DD is completed they will go into a quiet period.

This company has announced either one, and neither a merger or an acquisition can be completed by a public company with out the mandatory 60/90 days of due diligence.

So its highly unlikely there is any type of merger or acquisition taking place at the moment.
