if the distribution had been PRed on OTC, then we should be very close to 100% certain that the ex dates are different.

It is not about the press releases. FINRA rules....
If it's not on the FINRA list then it's not happening. The company can still get it wrong in a press release, or mislead you. NOT FINRA.
