Sgolds, I think AMD stock is ahead of itself, and it makes your charts more bullish. I would not recommend buying AMD right now, since they could pull back at any time. You can always take a slice of time and compare which is a better investment from a historical perspective, but I think Intel has a better future, better financials, more diverse product lines, and better marketing. If you can catch the AMD wave as they fluctuate around the same stock price they've seen for the past 20 years, then you could be very successful. Long term, however, you'll always return back to the starting point. That's what history has proven.

How have you managed to stay break-even in an investment that has done more or less the same as Intel over the last 1, 2 and 5 years, at a time Intel shareholders have suffered ? Have you selectively chosen your timeframe to make that statement ?

Dont mean to be attacking, but your above statement makes me wonder if you are really interested in an honest, intelligent discussion.
