Glass ...her dialysis patients ...about 12 % mortality per yr. Many comorbidity's .. most are diabetic , CAD patients as well ...some heavy drug users . Hyperkalemia is a real concern ( elevated serum K levels ) as this triggers arrhythmia's ......but they are usually only really concerned once serum K ( potassium ) levels are above 6 . ( unless it was usually very low and suddenly accelerates )
Looking at bioqrs link ...looks to me as tho HK ( over 6 ) slowly declines over a longer time period . Again small numbers . Kiwi
