As rains hit the new crop in parts of the northern region, China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has lowered its corn production projections for 2021/22. Heavy rains have delayed the corn harvest in the region, and decreased the quality of the new crop. Despite these harsh conditions, Origin's newly developed hybrid corn varieties have demonstrated significant disease tolerance and yield improvements across multiple test locations. The firm believes that this outperformance will lead to a strong demand for its new product lines. Origin, one of the few Chinese companies to participate in the Green Pass program, anticipates that the new varieties will be available for pre-order in spring of next year.
