Farooq, you would not expect them to admit defeat before it happens, but the Reps will lose the House, and they deserve to. I don't think turnout will do it for them this time, since there is a lot of their base who are as put out with them as the Dems (well, maybe not quite that bad, but not far from it). Whatever the outcome however, that will be the "excuse" for what the market does on Wed next week, and perhaps earlier if the institutional boys figure they have done all they can do to help. Win, lose, or draw, when the Fed propping ends, the markets are headed south. The big question is of course, how far?
