Where did that money come from? Everyone’s been saying they are penniless and on the verge of bankruptcy

Think of it this way, if he’s a scam artist whose sole purpose is to enrich himself by cheating investors, why would he spend that kind of money on advertising through racecar sponsorship, when he sees no real future in his product? Why didn’t he just put that money in his pocket?
