Normally, if a junior explorer announced that significant funding was secured, and drilling was scheduled, you'd see some excitement amongst investors. Today's trading was mostly sells, even though it ended up a bit.
Maybe the news is just so stupendous that investors have not fully absorbed it yet.
Or maybe they have been burned so many times, they don't believe anything anymore.
