Re graphics cards:

I read another article this morning relating to the demand for high end graphics cards and how it was affected by bitcoin mining.

I'm not really into that kind of thing so I didn't think to post it, but it was mind-blowing: High-end graphics cards that could normally sell for $200 were being sold for several hundred dollars, and some cards were selling for up to $1,000.

It's not all about the bitcoin miners -- it's the demand from them and the gamers pushing the price up.
