#22674 RE: raggystrongman #22673

I think the whole saga started when Frasier decided not to cede control to a bunch of venture capital guys. He could have been a wealthy, wealthy man, but then he would have had to share some of his company with them. There may have been a racial component to that decision. But whatever the reason was, he ends up trusting a person of color who persuades him to bypass the big money guys and go public on the cheap via a pink shell. That guy was going to do everything for him, from books to filings. Oh, and the guy neglected to tell him that he owned all of the shares of the shell (despite what the SEC merger document claimed). Oh, and it actually wasn't all that cheap, because he gave away 1/3 of the company in exchange for NOTHING when he issued the additional shares to get the merger done. So, when you say "fool," I got very little to argue with.

And when you say, "Unless he is truly obnoxious and childish and won't even listen to advice," I gotta reply, "Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner."

He most certainly does not have anyone advising him. Heck, the last guy with any sense who was willing to try to help him was Haddock. And Marcus pushed him away in an unbelievably childish, impetuous manner that I have heard involved throwing things like a 2-year old's tantrum.

He does have that Treasurer, but that guy never bought a single share of IDLM and he has no incentive to tell Marcus he should sell. Who would hire the treasurer if IDLM got bought out?

I just keep hoping that some outside entity sees how valuable IDLM could be and approaches Marcus with an offer that he can accept.

I can also try to hope that he grows up, but the chances of that at this point are indeed pretty slim.
