The company sold preferred and has/had various levels of convertibles with varying levels of toxicity.

It is the converters who systematically destroyed the valuation here so dramatically and often looked associated with price manipulation that influenced their conversion prices plus was any volume restrictions or ownership covenants breached.

“They” is much more than some clueless management, although they put the ink to paper!!
