Well unless there is an expiry date on the options what does it matter?

Is there?

Or is there no benefit in exercising them until we have an offer to purchase the company?

I’m sure Scott and Jim or whomever has more important things to spend their money on, like family.
They can re-mortgage their homes to buy shares when the time is right! LOL

Since the options are a part of their compensation I would argue that they are already investing their own money. Presumably some or all of them could get jobs in their fields where large portions of their incomes are not tied up in options.

As for not exercising any of their options, as Putz said, why on earth would they? I am a gambler and that is why I am investing in junior mining companies. I see a huge upside in this sector while I believe the broader markets are largely overvalued. Are you a poker player? I envy niocorp employees their stock options. They get to decide on a pre-flop bet after seeing the river card. I am comfortable with management's stake in the success of this project.
