I did the same and was told the same.
Moved all of my GCAN, UNGS, and other divis to Etrade. Pissed me off to no end that my shares were held hostage. I'm sure they will be losing many customers over this BS.......
Know what you own. Do not listen to someone wearing fuzzy bunny slippers in his/her parents basement.....
