Lippa is in his early 70s, so it's possible he might be looking to sell the company into the strong cannabis market. That might be the best outcome from the perspective of long suffering shareholders, and could also explain Manuso's recent departure.
Lippa has a very strong finance backround, but for years hasn't been able to locate much funding for RSPI. There hasn't been any partnering activity on the Ampakine side for umpteen years, and Dronabinol likely needs the longer acting formulation to generate any serious interest. So maybe Lippa will just sell the company. Just a guess though..
