Let's see, strip away theInquirer's flair for the dramatic, and we have one a North American reseller of server systems claiming that the Opteron is outselling Xeon and AthlonMP put together. Does that mean this reseller sold 3 Opterons, 1 Xeon and 1 AthlonMP? :)

The next paragraph talks about a North American reseller of server systems seeing demand for quad Opterons. Not the same source and not the same claim, obviously, and it does mean more that this source says demand is there.

The article does serve as an apochraphal reading of the market. Nice to see, but dangerous to use as a data point for investment!
