BRK is one of the bluest of the blue chips and number 3 in the Fortune 500, so it logically is hitting new highs. But, not understanding your adding of fractional shares. That can't be done with BRK.A or BRK.B, unless you are characterizing the B shares as fractional shares. The only way one can accumulate fractional shares of any stock would be through a Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP), where dividends are reinvested yielding some fractional shares. But, since BRK has never paid a dividend, there can be no fractional shares.

Buffett would be honored that you consider BRK a good investment.... at least up there with your Rennova from Pennyland and God knows what other junk.

BRK's performing very well because the whole market is soaring and perhaps because BRK is continuing to buy back its own shares. Apple has been in BRK's portfolio for some time. Doubt that's much of a factor although Apple may be attracting some younger buyers to BRK.

Should add that there's something of a buying panic going on now. Scary really. Many of my blue chips are at record highs.

Yes, please explain how you own 4 1/2 shares.

"I own 4 and a half shares of this, I add fractional and whole shares a little at a time and consider this a good long term investment."
