gloe, I believe that IM software is not too secure and opens you to a lot of other problems too.
This is interesting, I found out that all TDAmeritrade customers can get the Registered QT for FREE. -->TDAmeritrade bought the QT software and part of the QT business. <--
Now, I think that you can transfer all your QT chart settings and those settings only, by sharing your charts.ini file out of your programs/quotetracker folder. I have transferred settings between computers of my own.. I did just send an email to QT support asking that question and will post the response when I get it back. In the mean time, I was just at the QT site and looking at their description of files etc, see below:

Copy the following files from the QuoteTracker directory:

PORT.DAT - Contains all the portfolios for QT versions below 3.2.1G
PORT.XML - Contains all the portfolios for QT versions 3.2.1G and above
ALERTS.DAT - All the stock alerts
CHARTS.INI - All Chart Settings
CHLINES.DAT - Stored trendlines drawn on intraday charts
STOCKS.INI - Contains the WatchList stocks and all the other settings
PAINTBARS.XML - Contains the Chart PaintBar definitions (QT versions 3.5.0D and above)
HOLIDAYS.XML - Contains the holiday definitions so QT will know not to show blank days on charts (QT versions 3.4.1C and above)
*.SLT - Each file with .SLT extension contains one stored layout for QT. NOTE: These files may be located in folders other than the regular QuoteTracker install. (QT versions 3.7.8D and above)

CHARTS.INI contains all the settings for charts - intraday and historicals, the templates, and the chart snapshot parameters. If you want to share your trendlines as well, that's in CHLINES.DAT.

gloe--I can't PM (free acct)...but my answer is: not in the slightest...

re Friday IWM trades: ticked off that I only got half of that down move. went to the store after going to cash, came back and got the second half....meanwhile 'you know who' got the whole enchilada! we gotta a lot to learn re: patience from him/her/it/they!
