Capuano definitely understood what was going on, and you can be sure that anyone who was in office at that level, at that time knows too. What I’m saying is the judges don’t have a clue and they need to know and be educated incredible as that may seem

Accounting-based case, too complicated for most judges. I posted this same thought about 2 yrs ago maybe.

This is essentially a hole in our entire justice system: some cases involve accounting tricks that are too complicated for most judges to understand. In this GSE situation, for example, how many judges out there would be capable of grasping the profound enormity of the fact that through all of this saga, the shares have been allowed to trade? Probably mot one judge.

Maybe the focus from one case should have be on the forensic accounting data. Judges should appoint there own experts as the whole thing hangs on the government saying they where on the edge of defaulting. Guess has to start somewhere. Or you could look to see how much cash they had to cover till the monies poured in because it looks a little off sided. Also consider the major change in handing losses from bad mortgages use to off set tax liability. Government stood to loose bunch of tax revenue during a major market down turn.
