One area that Titan has been working on and KEPT VERY SECRET is the new camera....the question that needs to be answered is WHO is Titan working with on that camera? IF it is Karl Storz then they will own the single port robotic camera and get a piece of every SPORT that is sold. Also, based off of Titan's last patent (which really puts the screws to ISRG), a company like Storz could be developing that as well.
On another note, I find it amazing that ISRG's Single Port platform is being held up b/c they are deathly afraid of Titan. The $56B company ISRG won't even bring out their SP in the US which is very telling. They are launching their SP oversees but have had FDA approval for 2 years. It is amazing how hard Titan is making it for ISRG to commercialize their SP. ISRG should have just commercialized it, sold it and forced Titan to spend $$$$$ on a legal battle to bury them. And why hasn't intuitive made a takeover bid for Titan and offered up $100M for it? At their current Share price of $550 - they could issue 180K of shares to Titan shareholders which is $100M. ISRG has 113M shares outstanding, if they issue another 118k shares that is LESS THAN 1% of their outstanding shares. OR they could take $100M of their $3 BILLION in cash.
Intuitive also made a big push about their Stapler for robotic surgery and have pushed it as a game changer for robotic surgery but.....
