Great find! We have been waiting for the results of this study since early in 2017. This is essentially a phase 3 study with results supporting an immediate reduction in nicotine levels as opposed to a step down approach.

They expand on the conclusions of the study and it's not all rosy.
The people in the study who went to immediate reduction of nicotine, as opposed to gradual, had greater withdrawal symptoms, higher use of non-study cigarettes, and higher drop-out rates.
I'm wondering how they are going to word that if they do release a PR.
