Any order, per charge, must full that day. If open shares continue into the following day, it incurs another charge.

But I must ask for this.

Typically, Etrade will just kill the balance of a partially-filled order.

That's normal if only part of your order is filled and the rest filled the next day. Two transactions. Schwab is the same. So was OptionsXpress.
Happens when volume is low.
