The filing really just looks like a clean-up, removing CCP's right to convert debt to equity on a portion of the debt they currently hold. They would probably consider exercising this if the stock price were (with the split) above $250 a share, or about a thousand times what it is now.

I suppose it might offer a glimmer of hope to EK's fans, as there is probably a reason behind why they are cleaning up CCP's entanglements between Overland/Tandberg and Sphere 3D. Perhaps this is to facilitate the "Share Purchase Agreement". That may mean diddly-squat to shareholder, though, because it is still unlikely that whatever isn't spun off has any value. I believe the Share Purchase Agreement only relates to shares in the two subsidiaries, not ANY.
