Reposting DD for contract legitimacy: check out these websites
<<DRUS>> Government Contracts DD
I did some DD on the legitimacy of these government contracts. It would appear that some people here are skeptical of their validity, so I took it upon myself to research their legitimacy. Outside of calling around to confirm different contracts, here is what I found:
First let’s look at this website that was posted by someone last week, it contains a list of DRUS’s government contracts, however, the website is a little sketchy as it is a .US and requires you to pay to view the contracts.
I didn’t like this, we should be able to review the contracts as we please. And, anyone can create a .US website. So I moved forward to find the correct website to review the contracts.
DOT.COM (.com) , .US, .CO websites can be made by anyone. However, .EDU, .GOV, .MIL are specifically used by government, military, and educational institutions. Source:
I dug around some more and first found this .MIL website which gave a -shoutout- to HowCo for their performance last year in a 2017 “Superior Supplier” announcement by the nose Logistics Agency. Note again, this is a .MIL website, for military.
Next I learned that in order to apply for a government contract, you first must register on SAM and receive an identification number, or a DUNS. And that is, SAM.gov, or System for Awards Management. This website is undergoing maintainence today (07/27) so may be a little wonky at the moment. Go to Home>Search>HowCo and Howco Distributing will populate. Their SAM identification/DUNS is 616194916 - they are currently registered until 03/27/2019
And lastly, this was the deal sealer here, after using that DUNS number i was able to find this .gov website which hosts ALL of the government contracts that DUNS 616194916, or HowCo Distributing, has received. There’s gotta be 100+ contracts here, and they’ve been coming in for decades.
We have .GOV and .MIL confirmation on these contracts. So if you were doubting the legitimacy of these contracts, I really hope this can now restore your faith. This is about as legitimate of a ticker I have ever seen in my OTC days.
