In the conference call a question was asked about the higher than norm inventory figure and they basically stated that it was for the RTX program. Therefore sales were probably booming at the time of the CC.
Price is secondary to value. If the value is perceived to be high, the price will be paid. Why does one buy a BMW M5 versus a Ford Fiesta? They both will get you from point A to Point B.
