the sec will investigate to a point and either bring a fine if its a ding

the sec can level fines against the company or officers, can order disgorgement from same, and levy officer bans.

but if its bigger than that, the courts have to settle the issues.

in that case the sec would refer the case to the justice department for criminal prosecution.

i think the class actions will wait to proceed until they see something from the sec.
