Zimmer is looking at purchasing Amedica flat out for their techology to bolster sales in spine through licensing and to purchase the next generation of hip and knee implants. You heard it here on TSB.

Cross-licensing fits perfectly with this quote from 2011. Little did this person know that Si3N4 goes beyond spine/hip/knee.

I wasnt sure if Zimmer was going to divest dental with merger or keep it. The new team does suggest that the whole divesture thing was a bit of a red herring like the Medtronic rumor.
