mountain biked another section of the CDR route
in Montana today in the cool morning...
was 37 degrees upon waking

big bushy badger running along side me at about 9:3O A.M.

great colors on his fur ... 4th badger
this season in proximity ... 10 times
more ferocious than a bear and fast

and the literature says they are nocturnal

found a spring in the middle of now where
Montana that has been capped and piped at ground level
for filling water bottles

the bugs are all frozen on these cold nights, even
the horse flies are absent

nothing but silence for hours and hours in
this part of Montana

large Sand Hill cranes walking around looking
for ground insects to eat

expansive to be in complete quiet for hours, and
4 mountain ranges in view, some with snow patches
