Those shares are valuable, but the shareholders have to understand that they are now holding back the company being fairly valued overall. At least in the eyes of the public who aren't going to dig around the share structure to see what's what. They need to get their fair payment and let the company move forward. As they hold out for exorbitant amounts, they are taking resources that should be running the business and they are devaluing their own investment.
