Remember, according to "ponderous size XXXXX", there is a quartz vein that runs across the landscape for nearly 25 miles all the way from Santa Elena to La Herradura. The locals ignored it for hundreds of years, waiting on a hobby miner to come show them how to mine it.

Odd thing....according to reliable sources, the quartz veins at Santa Elena trend N33E.....away from La Herradura. Maybe it makes a loop-de-loop underground.
