"Tech is going to get hammered soon, the entire sector is overbought"
No offense but how is tech any different from most any other sector? Everything is overbought and has been for years, courtesy of QE.
But let's put that aside. Sure, if we get a long overdue correction most everything gets hurt. Yet there are always some niches that buck the trend.
During the dot.bomb era the NAZ dropped 78% but there were a few companies that manufactured chips for flat panel displays that went thru a rip-roaring bull market at the same time.
3D printing appears to be one sub-sector that should outperform the major indexes over the next five years.
