The deficiency in Intel's Bananas architecture is even worse than K7! The amazing Bapco Sysmark 2002 exposes the deficiencies of the Centrino product line mercilessly!

Yet "Bananas" is a runaway success for the 900 lb gorilla.

What does that say for Bapco's influence or lack thereof?

If you listen to some AMD supporters you'd think the market
share for AMD and Intel would be reversed if only the dumb
masses hadn't been brainwashed by Bapco.

Perhaps MHz isn't the problem for AMD, it isn't for Banias.

Perhaps Bapco isn't the problem for AMD, it isn't for Banias.

Perhaps Intel is simply more successful than AMD in designing
and manufacturing uPs OEMs want to design products around
and that customers want to buy. Nah, too simple an explanation.
And with no secret agent men [TM] involved its too boring to be
accepted by a generation who grew up watching X-files.

Petz, Re: There is one other *possible* explanation, and it come from wbmw. Apparently the Centrino CPUs are too darned impatient. They don't "wait" properly. Those impish buggers of CPUs have a major flaw in their psyche, have no manners, and don't obey rules of etiquette, just like their AMD brethren.

I also hear they're not pulling their weight....

Looks like Intel, Bapco'd itself. I hope they can, just walk it off. ;-)
