Because they didn't file an 8-K form.
It wasn't much of an update, so I guess the SEC didn't need one to say "we haven't done any testing for the last 2 months"

Thursday COB, short interest night of operational update.

The operational update was released after the close of after hours trading. I found this intriguing. It also occurred on July 31, the same day that short interest requires being reported to the SEC.

Thursday, COB, we find out what the short interest was as of COB on the same day the operations update was provided on July 31, 2018. Should be interesting to see what is reported.

Monday Aug 13 second quarter 10-Q and testing should be completed

Wednesday Aug 15 13Fs are reported by institutions showing how much institutional ownership was as of June 30. Previously at 10%, I am thinking it has increased to almost 15%.
