How could they possibly plan for something like BTD first, unless they were given some assurance by the FDA?

I agree that most likely one would expect a series of PRs meeting the milestones and possibly other good news but IMO one shouldn't expect news so that disappointment sets in should a PR not be issued.

If one thinks news is coming tomorrow from now til end of Sept they are in for 50 disappointments or so. Plan for the worst timewise and you leave little room for disappointment but lots of room for elation should news come early.

No need to practice being miserable. Let the rest of the summer play out knowing that in the end things will have worked out well for all longs.
