Hi tikotiko. I realize that you are not a moderator for this board but this post would be very nice as a "stickie"

A couple of corrections and one addition to post #1045:

-Ownership is as follows: 66.5% Orocobre, 25% Toyota and 8.5% JEMSE.
-My understanding is that the hydroxide plant will only be built in Japan to produce lithium hydroxide for better product diversification (I.e., not only lithium carbonate but also lithium hydroxide).

In addition, I should have mentioned that Orocobre currently produces 2 lithium carbonate grades:
1) Battery grade or Purified product at >99.5% pure (often at >99.9% purity thanks to the high purification circuit).
2) Lithium carbonate or Prime Product at >99% for other industrial uses from the regular production circuit or Prime circuit.

The following two excerpts from the latest June quarterly report explain the products in more detail, and specify that these two products comply with their corresponding uses without any additional processing for their respective markets:

“Since operations commenced Olaroz has developed a strong customer base of >70 customers who have tested and accepted the high grade Purified and Prime products. The Purified product regularly tests at 99.9% lithium carbonate and is sold to battery and cathode end users. The Prime product regularly tests at 99% lithium carbonate and is sold to a variety of technical and industrial end users. Neither of these products require any additional processing for their respective markets.”

and

“Olaroz produces high quality lithium carbonate chemicals for both the battery and industrial markets. It is the only operation in the world with an integrated purification circuit that permits it to produce, if desired, 100% battery grade lithium carbonate (+99.5%) on site.”
