After reading this paper is when I started buying. Go inside the head of an actual author of HERA author ... it’s straight from the horses mouth.

I remember reading this paper about 2 years ago. I think this is the working paper where Calabria slams FHFA and Obama for their twisted interpretation of HERA and basically doing the exact opposite. Page after page he slams and criticizes the FHFA. And of course now he is the advisor to Pence. Unfortunately Pence is an idiot and useless to us. What does he do anyways ? He should change his name to Penny. That's about all he is worth.

And while I am at it why do they call it a working paper anyways ? Is it working ? Does it have a job ? Is it employed ? Does it collect a paycheck ? Of course not. It should be renamed. They should call it "51 pages stapled together" paper.

Not sure what HERA says about that.
But if you want to understand HOW HERA is being misinterpreted, then this weekend, read over Mark Calabria’s working paper on the subject at the Cato Institute. Working Paper No. 26 February 9, 2015.
He was one of the writers of HERA. He knows exactly what it was meant to do and exactly what the Congress then wanted in that piece of legislation. He doesn’t really like FnF, he believes in free markets, but realizes the twins are being treated illegally and unconstitutionally wrong. Read it !!!
It’s only 51 pages. It will help you understand how wrong Treasury & the courts are using & interpreting HERA.

can you help me define free markets real quick?

You said Mark likes those.

If a bank gets bailed out and their shareholders are made whole based on arbitrary decisions in a 'crisis', does that mean we still have a free market somewhere? What is this free market we're all pretending still exists?
