At the time, the stock dividend alone was worth well over $2. Don't remember exactly. Usually it doesn't pay to wait for the market to get a friggin clue. You have to anticipate. Anyway, I wasn't fully invested at $3 of course. I added a lot between 40 cents and a dollar. And because I ran out of alternatives. Only DRYS made me some money which I moved to SIAF.

Nothing to learn, really. None of the other Chinese companies performed well, or at all. Missed the LSYN spin-off. Very painful. Yeah, you could say I learned from that mistake.

As to how many shares, I think I owned 3k in early 2017. At the time 7k was a full position for me. Now I have 26k.

I started with $72k in 2011. I had to withdraw half of that through the years. Basically you could say that I'm break even (with 26k shares) if they distribute the TRW stock dividend even if the stock is worthless afterwards.

7 years of total misery in the China space. Must have spent $30k on transaction fees. Lost a lot of money on put options. Missed the LSYN spin-off. Another $30k down the drain. I did make some money here and there in the China space. I did pretty well actually. If we can get SIAF back to $3 I'm back in business. I still have 30k HERB. Also worthless right now. But I'm not writing it off just because the market thinks it's worthless. I will buy more if we can get SIAF up.
