There probably was a good reason for the bullishness, and it could be the answer you were looking for. I am a PEIX stockholder, so I'm happy to see any bullishness in the price, including the rally during the past two weeks. I don't have to know the reason for every rally because I heard this advice many times growing up. "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth."
