yes, by dry hole I mean non-commercial. It doesn't take this long to prove a non-commercial. If commercial, it takes time to size it.
I would think 800 bopd for MJ#1 would be towards the low end of commercial. The Meged-5 came in at 800 bopd and didn't have the high pressure of MJ#1. So, MJ#1 should outperform Meged-5.
But, MJ#1 penetrated both the lower Jurassic and Mohilla Triassic, the most promising zones, with 4-1/2" casing not the planned 7" casing. The production pipe will be proportionally smaller with the smaller casing, so that may limit MJ#1 flow above say 2,000 bopd. But, MJ#2, MJ#3, etc will be drilled with 7" casing so the flow will not be restricted by pipe size. All that to say that the main purpose of MJ#1 is to determine what the reserve size is and where it is. The offset wells will be optimized for production.
Share price after announcement should react to reservoir size more than MJ#1 bopd.
