I don't recall that he ever said anything in particular was going on. Just mutual interest in exploration technology. The oil company has something that someday in someway might be of use to LBSR, and JB's knowledge of mineral geology might be useful to the oil company if they ever turn their attention in that direction.
Some people may have made unwarranted assumptions based on JB's comment, but if I don't see that he is responsible for correcting speculations that appear on a stock board.
There was nothing there beyond two geologists discussing mineral detection methods. Let's not try to make something more of it.
The mutual interest in exploration technologies remains. Possibility that anything near term will happen as result is zero, nor was it ever thought to be more.
