Yes , but patient need to have good port , and if clog or infected , not unusual , that is a new problem for the patient who need IV treatment .

My mother sister , also a physician had a port , she was on kidney dialysis , I know what she went through , now after kidney transplant this problem is gone from her life .

New surgical intervention needed ,
Most probably many times during entire life , it is VERY difficult...

I will go with SC any day !!!!

yah but every time you need treatment you have to drive out one hour or 2 hours where you need to go. How convenient is that?
