Some late night musings....... Assuming that the 80 tons of "ore" that they leached for three+ weeks averaged 1 g/ton (and ignoring the math issue I pointed out earlier), that means there was somewhere around 80 grams of gold in the VAT. With 1.25% recovery, they only got around a gram of gold.

Yup, a gram of gold.

And yet, there was talk of smelting (a gram??!) in Professor Badilla's lab once the precipitate dries? No wonder we have not seen an announcement of ounces recovered.
