Rationality, the foundation of good decision making, requires a "Trust but Verify" posture. Too many pump and dump scams by pink stocks. Books are written about this fact. Only suckers would allow themselves to get hooked by the circus barker's cane and pulled into a money losing event without verifying its legitimacy. That's why stockholders have a right to request verification, especially verification financials and alternative analyses of data purported to be factual, like the proposition that 60,000 bottle of a drink being sold at an industry fair. Musta been a pretty good drink or the fair occurred on a hot day, assuming the drinks were cold.

Very true, being unverified doesn't make it true. However, when running a public company, verifying by a third unbiased party is smart business.
