Probably a simple "TYPO"....Don't look at it so often

http://in.fashionnetwork.com/news/India-s-raw-silk-output-to-grow-19-in-2017-18,905805.html#.W09izLgnbcs

India’s production of import substitute bivoltine silk is expected to reach around 6,200 MT in 2017-18 as compared to 5,266 MT in 2016-17

Meanwhile, muga silk has recorded highest ever production of 170 MT and has acquired a new growth momentum, the ministry said in its list of significant achievements in 2017.

China produces about 150,000 metric tons annually. This is much more than the rest of the world combined producing 78% of the world's silk. Only India has a comparably large industry that produces about 30,000 metric tons.

It would be safe to say "It's A Growth Industry In Viet Nam"

It has been changed to:

"Silkworms make 150,000 metric tons of silk per year, and spiders make very flexible silk but don't make a lot of it," Rice says.
