Hello Sexton,
re: Yahoo.
I use it alot. They fell down big on the single quote. They only give you the canned view http://finance.yahoo.com/q?d=v1&s=bgo.to
where are my customized detailed, performance etc... views vis a vis the quote box ? There was a drop down offering you a choice of views for single / multiple quotes but it's gone. You can get the choices by entering two or more stocks and then clicking your view.... A giant leap backwards IMO unless f course I'm missing something and a pain in the a$$ ?? It does look pretty though ;o)

Nice post on the options.

And BTW welcome :o)

regards

Hi guys,

So far I've been using bigcharts for getting my options quotes. You just put the symbol in for the stock or index you want and then click on options chain.

http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/options.asp?symb=rimm&sid=50575&time=8&bars=...

I'm thinking RIM will pull back to fill the gap.

Welcome Welcome

Thanks Kastelco. I will review your Yahoo! dilema - they do (did) say to comment on the changes.. LOL.. as if that would help..

IN my first virgin index option.. 2 Lots of OCT $34 QQQ PUTS @ $1.30 .. $290US.

<sigh.. not sure it helps the nerves.. but I have found when I say something "BUY GE.. or BUY AC" it usually does what I told others and I never listened to myself...>

The account also has 800 shares of RRI - so any downturn, I hope this may offset that a bit.

Insurance as it is... I have a plump enough account ... I HOPE THIS ONE DOES NOT PAY OFF!

Michael: Don't have the time now, but I have some comments on the recent article from Jim Pupulava <sp?> on the oil editorial. Will post them tonight. Part of it was an article in Business Week I found helped "the cause".

Cheers all
SoB

Well I was on the bid for some JPM puts this morning but didn't get filled. From what I can tell, these options are illiquid and the bid ask spread seems large. The commissions are none too cheap either.

I should have shorted RIM at the open like I've been wanting to but couldnt pull da trigger.

Sitting on lots of cash going into tomorrow...
