Not a chance regarding the West Hollywood permit. C’mon man. $40 Million? That’s delusional and you know it.
Every state they are in has, in fact, increased the number of permits. Don’t obfuscate that fact.
What is my point? My point is as follows:
1. More permits = more competition
Increased competition not advantageous for TRTC. Period.
2. Permits, by definition, are NOT a competitive advantage. It is, indeed, a potential barrier to entry, but a man-made one, and one that can, disappear, with the stroke of a pen.
These statements are incontrovertible. If you are still not convinced, ask yourself the following, “in 2020, will there be more of fewer permits than there are today?”
Answer: more.
Is it necessarily a bad thing? Absolutely not, but the fact they have a permit today does not in any way establish a sustained competitive advantage in the long haul.
