Two Brand New Biotechs Go Public
rayIf President Trump has his way… he will break up the FDA!
At least, he will if he executes the plan in this recent White House document entitled “Delivering Government Solutions in the 21st Century.”
There are a number of reasons why he might radically change this powerful entity that regulates about 20 cents out of every dollar Americans spend.
The document states that the FDA’s current iteration is inefficient and needs an overhaul.
Food regulating functions would be transferred to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, leaving a much smaller agency.
And, presumably, better regulation. That will mean greater consistency and predictability for biotech companies… as well as investors.
