Disregarding the real DD isn't great in anyway - hoping and wishing there will be financing is a very poor investment strategy.

Companies in the energy sector can't obtain financing for $70 million - when they don't have any assets or revenue.

That isn't wishful thinking - those are flights of fantasy that can't possibly happen.
