Imagine if you are an MM that knows and controls how many 100s of millions of convertible/diluted shares there are to dump on the market.... and could short at the same time, knowing you can keep dumping those endless shares into any buying pressure to keep forcing the price down, until you want to stop selling those convertible/diluted shares after you've covered your short positions.
