billnight makes an excellent point.

15% of any stock transitioning in such a tight timeframe is collusion of some nature. Unless this was a glitch in software somewhere, 3.8 million shares transitioned at 16:04 yesterday.

The question is, from who, to who and was it legal.

Could it be institutions swapping positions. For example, could vanguard funds have transitioned their shares from some funds to other funds?

Really do not know what we witnessed yesterday at close. 17% of Zion shares traded hands on the same day as the Russell 3000 rebalance took place.
